Ann Weiner Miniatures

About Ann

AnnAnn Weiner was a pioneer in the world of miniatures dating back to l980 when there were few shops, shows and quality miniatures available.

Back in the late 70's, she represented the USA at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Virginia for two seasons with mini tinsel art during their International Crafts Festival. There were artisans from all over the world creating their fine crafts in each of the park's villages. Ann was designated to set up shop in Aquitaine (France) during the festival.

After being invited to exhibit at a miniature show in New Jersey, the "world of miniatures" opened up for Ann. She started to pursue miniatures in all media, creating unique one of a kind pieces, and also representing the work of other fine artisans.

Over the years, Ann has endeavored to learn techniques from others, participating in many workshops throughout the country. Her personal collection comprises over 120 room boxes and structures.

Ann's new website includes miniatures that she has made and others of high quality. Many are one of a kind. New inventory will be posted as others are sold and space allows.

In past years Ann has traveled the world in pursuit of finding and bringing back unusual miniatures in all price ranges. Some of the places she has traveled to include the Orient (China, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Singapore), Africa (South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Kenya), England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Germany, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Poland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, many countries in South America, Alaska, Canada and many other places. She found that each destination has interesting cultures and crafts many of which she sells at The World of Mini Mania. The World of Mini Mania is New Jersey's finest show held semi-annually. Ann is the founder and promoter of this show.

In 1980, The World of Mini Mania Show was launched and proved to be an instant success. There were few shows in existence at that time, and although they have had to occasionally change locations, they have had a wonderful following by miniature enthusiasts. There is a link from this site to the WOMM show schedule, which will give you all the information on forthcoming dates, workshops, and also artisan and dealer listings (see Links).

Please visit our Gallery and choose your favorite minis. New items will be added as these are sold, so check back often.
